Shelf Life
Chapbooks |
Shelf Life (2019, Peapod Studio, $15) is a collection of poems composed by psychologist/poet, Elizabeth Evans Landrum, whose voice speaks with compassion and insight into themes ranging from memory, loss, and curiosity about family history to the value of art and significance found in small objects. Each poem is a response to what is uncovered when dusting a bookcase -- the books, photographs, saved items and objects of art that have inspired the writer to pause, to question and excavate the deeper meanings and poetry found in what surrounds us. Many of the poems are accompanied by photo-sketches of the objects that inspired the poems.
This book can be purchased at the Lopez Bookshop and is available online at Barnes and Noble Or Amazon Elizabeth's poems are included in these two chapbooks.
"How to Save the World" (2013) and "Refuge on the Rock" (2019) are collections of poems by a group of poets who live on Lopez Island. These chapbooks can be purchased at the Lopez Bookshop. |
